Shipping Supervisor Reports To: Shipping Manager Supervises: 10 –12 associates in the Shipping Department and Shipping Lead FLSA Status: Exempt Job Code: 1DS120 Department: Shipping Summary: This position’s main function is to provide in-depth technical support and training to the shipping department. Insure the product is shipped efficiently and accurately to insure that products are delivered on time and in a manner requested by our customers. Responsible for each associate in the shipping department and ensuring quality and making sure the efficiency and accuracy standards are being met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains and enforces departmental policy and procedure; Assuring associates comply with company attendance policies while keeps detailed records of each individual’s attendance, tardy, production and payroll records. Bears responsibility for all employees’ reviews Provides leadership for all employees in the shipping department; Provides regular informational meetings and bears responsibility for employee performance reviews and the development of employees for further responsibilities. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems Provides training and support to shipping lead as required; Assists shipping lead with training of shipping associates as required Analyzes which orders will be processed to maximize the efficiency of preparations for shipment Schedules and monitors the most appropriate ship dates to assure no retail orders are cancelled due to missed production deadlines Conducts research to confirm or dispute charge backs assessed by retail customers; Communicates disputed findings to retail customers to remove charge backs Regularly reviews and analyzes retail vendor order compliance specifications; Provides shipping team and production management team timely updates on changes to compliance specifications.
